Hello!
My name is Georgia! I'm a Senior at Spartanburg Methodist College, studying the Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing & Sales, and Professional Development. I'm so excited to share my Capstone project, Rink Revival, with all of you!
My Story
I started skating when I was 7 years old--and I never stopped. My dream job when I was 15 was to work at a skating rink, and now I finally get to live out my teenage dreams as an adult in college. I currently work at Hot Wheels Skating Rink in Spartanburg. I have been working at Hot Wheels for almost three years now, and I have loved getting to know all of our regular customers (or "Rink Rats," as we call them), and being able to watch our rink flourish and grow over the years. My goal with this project is not only to provide an inexpensive entertainment outlet for SMC students, but also to generate more returning customers for Hot Wheels that make up our skating community.

I am beyond excited to use my degree to plan, market, and execute this event myself. This event will ultimately benefit me in the long run, as it is giving me real-world experience so as to prepare me for my future career in Marketing and Event Planning.
